Formed during the 1949 eruption,
the Cueva de Las Palomas volcanic tube
extends for nearly 500 meters and features
a fascinating variety of geological formations.
As you walk along the walkway that crosses the lava flow
to the entrance of the cavity, we will make several
interpretive stops essential for understanding
the formation of the volcanic tube.
You will also be able to admire
the majesty of Tajogaite Volcano,
whose eruption occurred in 2021.
Then, you will enter the cave,
a space in constant change where
the solidified lava connects you
with the primordial nature that
continues to shape the beauty
of La Palma.
